Biography
« Le seul ve?ritable voyage, ce ne serait pas d'aller vers de nouveaux paysages, mais d' avoir d' autres yeux. »
Marcel Proust
Alone in front of the canvas, I am listening to what comes from the deepest part of me and let me embark on this hope of surprise and freedom that Mark Rotko described: "A painting must be an unexpected and unprecedented revelation of an eternally familiar need. »
That's what I like.
Search by drawing from colour and matter, rubbing, erasing, and repeating. And then suddenly the impression that "I have him", that there is indeed a "revelation" and that it finally seems so simple.
The evocative power of colours and materials provides the basic material for my artistic work. Everything is inspiration, beauty as well as melancholy. When I paint, I abandon myself in the moment and the pictorial movement. I try to give way to the fullest freedom of expression, letting myself be guided by colours.
I want my paintings to be a fraction of Nature and Life that break and are born in me.
Let's imagine a song with only one word in the text. A word that changes infinitely, visible and secret, lucid and dreamy.
The reality from which I leave cannot be denied, but it is perceived in the flash that also affirms it as a search for oneself through art.
The theme - the subject - at first strongly present, fades and disappears like a whispered chorus on the horizon of memory...
