Biography

We spend the day in front of our screens, brightly colored advertisements attack our sight and our mind, we don't even stop at them, they sneak into our subconscious creating a whirlwind of images that dance in the fast hustle and bustle of our daily lives. If our eyes, our thoughts, could rest from such an overwhelming spectacle... That is precisely what I am looking for with my work, a parenthesis, an oasis created from sober colors. They are pure energy mixed with physical material. Chromatic austerity is linked to the spiritual substrate, therefore, my intention with each piece in my collections is to tell you, “Hey, for a moment, you are here, it is now. Live in the present moment." I looked for these tones to mix with gold, or maybe not... I didn't look for that, it was engraved in my DNA. 4 generations of jewelers leave their mark on their descendants. And not in vain, I I recognize myself as a lover of gemology and crafts. I grew up seeing the infinite forms that gold can take, and something so beautiful, I couldn't (or didn't want to) leave behind. But no, on a technical level, my works. on canvas or on wood, they are created using mixed technique. Oil, binder, pigments, acrylic paint, and the metallic material that allows me to play with lights and reflections. I never use fixatives or varnishes, I like the idea of materials. stay "raw". I am aware that the passage of time can wreak havoc on my works... As with everything... right? Time takes its toll even on ourselves. It is part of nature, of the primary essence of things, and of course, time is part of my works.
