Nadia Ferroukhi lives in Paris. A nomad since her childhood, born of a Czech mother and an Algerian father, she travels the planet armed with a camera, and expresses herself through reports that she exhibits or publishes in the French and international press. Multilingual and curious, her "third eye" has allowed her to combine all the aspirations that drive her. She has a degree in international relations from Washington D.C.
Her approach to differences brings to light those who are in the shadows. Her images tell stories by creating a link between all those who by their distinction contribute to the richness and diversity of the planet. Over the years, she has built up a body of long term work, with a particular focus on the condition of women in the world.
Her work has been published in GEO, Courrier de l'UNESCO, Le Monde, Marie Claire, Courrier International, Libération, etc. and exhibited in international galleries and museums such as the Musée du Quai Branly, the Galerie Thorigny, the Biennale de Bamako ...
Nadia created the Douniatou association in 2008 to help Tumaï, a women's village in Kenya. Tumaï is part of her last long subject: "Les Matriarches".
