Biography

Cléo Robine was born in Brest in 1954. She studied Interior Architecture at the École Boule (Paris). Cléo Robine goes beyond color and transgress the chaos that the matter imposes.

She goes beyond the mere pictorial expression to push the boundaries, to create a sincere and vibrant language. Making the opposites audible, working on the trace, the sign, the print, these are one of her main artistic motivations. Cléo Robine captures the impalpable: space as a principle, materials like language, colors like signals...

She is interested in the body, in the scars of life, avoiding useless talk, careful to make things simple, bordering minimalism. Her approach is noble and interested in the essential things. Favoring the recycling of garbage in art, Cléo Robine proves that nothing is over, everything starts again.
