Biography
Aurelie Mantillet was born and grew up in France, close to Lyon.
She studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Etienne .
She has been showing her work since 2007at fairs in France (Art O'Clock Paris, Chic Design Paris, Art Nim, Lille Art Fair ... ), abroad (Montreux Art Gallery in Switzerland, Miami International Art Fair in the US... ) and are often sold in auctions in PAris (Drouot), Versailles (Perrin-Laroyère ), Cannes and Roubaix.
She developed through drawing, painting and sculpture a personal mythology focused on the woman, the child and the report to the animal. The allusions to the history of classical and contemporary art are recurring in her work. Her work can be situated in the lineage of artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Annette Messager and Marlene Dumas.
Aurelie Mantillet produces nervous, vivacious and colorful paintings.
