Presentation
Alfredo Erias. He was born on May 29, 1954 in Presedo-Abegondo (A Coruña) and it could be said that he is an artist deeply linked to the world of the culture of his land, but with a vision, always, universalist.
He studied high school in Betanzos and graduated in Geography and History (1980) at the University of Santiago de Compostela, earning his doctorate (2014) at the same university with the published thesis, 'Iconography of the three Gothic churches of Betanzos: San Francisco, Santa María do Azougue and Santiago'.
In 1983 he won the position of archivist-librarian in the city council of Betanzos and since early 1984 he was also appointed director of the Museo das Mariñas and of the 'Anuario Brigantino', a research journal that he has been directing uninterruptedly until 2021.
