Livia De Poli was born in 1948 in Conco, a small town in Veneto, renowned for its ceramics. She started working at the age of fourteen in the Erma workshop in Bassano del Grappa in the province of Vicenza. She follows the courses of the Instituto artistico de Nove. His gifts and mastery are immediately recognized. She remained in Bassano until 1967, the date of her marriage and her departure to France.
She lives in Besançon, then in Belfort. She resumed her activity in 1975 and exhibited in major cities, in particular in Paris, Karlsruhe, Lille and Lausanne.
Since 1990, she has delivered a more contemporary work, round and colorful, full of subtle humor. Livia de Poli is currently continuing her quest with more refined works in which the monochrome is only disturbed by a few touches of color.
From 2008, she began making porcelain pieces made up of daring intertwining. It is a phase of research and innovation which allows him to obtain in 2011 the support of the DRAC of Franche-Comté.
June 2019, L'Entrelacs "Memoria" is selected by the "White of China" jury of the Beijing Ceramics Institute.
