Claire Gonnord
Biography
Born in Carpentras in 1984, imbued with an education sensitive to nature, she grew up in Nyons, in the north of Provence. Since moving to Marseille in 2009, his art has evolved under the influence of the city and its reflections on societal issues, combining aesthetics and awareness of the world.
In her new creations, she uses recycled materials such as used clothing, glass, cove stone and shells to illustrate the complex dialogue between man and nature, disrupted by our presence. Inspired by ancient myths, she reinterprets them in a contemporary context, seeking to confront aesthetics with the reality of our actions.
Even if the human is often suggested rather than visually represented in his works, each becomes a mirror of his reality, of yours, of that of anyone who contemplates them, seeking to awaken a common reflection on our existence.
