Marie Pierre HOGRET, born in 1967, originally from Reunion Island.
A childhood in Madagascar marked by fabulous lights and colors which forever marked his existence, an indelible imprint giving birth to an artistic soul in love with colors.
Passionate, she practiced drawing for many years in her spare time.
It was only after a personal tragedy that she dared to express herself through acrylics.
Painting has become for her a way of putting colors on words/evils that she does not want or is unable to express other than by painting.
She has always been fascinated by the paintings of great painters of abstract art (Pollock, Kandinsky, Richter, etc.) because in her eyes they give free rein to the imagination, the awakening of the senses and emotion.
It was under the guidance of a teacher for two years that she practiced new techniques (knife, rubbing, bombs, etc.), inlaying materials of all kinds (cardboard, nets, feathers, etc.). It's a way for her to bring her creations to life by playing with appearance, colors, shadows and light.
New materials impose themselves on her and the abstract then becomes obvious, a revelation.
Over the years, her art evolves just like her. She expresses her emotions through her paintings, freeing herself from her inspirations.
His travels also helped him open up to different horizons and artistic styles such as New York and Florence.
She likes to create because creating rebuilds her. Rebuilding himself allows him to create again; a culmination towards the transmission of emotion in the face of his work.
