Presentation
Based in Marseille for 30 years, Julien Loïs, artist, illustrator and graphic designer, draws anthropomorphic characters, half-animal, half-human, evolving in a crazy and powerful urban environment. He also has a more realistic and expressive artistic production made of portraits of anonymous people. Very influenced by hip-hop culture, on the border of street art (which he practiced for a long time by painting and pasting original drawings on the walls of Marseille and other cities), he notably worked for Fluide Glacial, Chinese Man Records or for many national newspapers such as Télérama. Also a poster designer and letter painter, he has created numerous visuals for the world of music.
In 2011 and 2012 he published his first two illustration collections with Editions Charrette. He then published his first comic book "No panic in Sonic City" by Editions Even pas mal, then "Rua Viva" by AAARG!.
