Biography
Sylvie Nadeau grew up in a mixed family. His mother of Jamaican origin and his father from Quebec greatly influenced his way of life and his art. His English-speaking mother, a biologist and musician, taught him rigor, his French-speaking father, a painter from the Fine Arts, graphic designer and photographer, taught him to observe!
Studies in graphic design, then in graphic design at the University of Quebec in Montreal, an experience as a TV columnist, and finally an improvement in drawing and painting with the Quebec colorist painter Francine Labelle, led her into a colorful and joyful.
Over time, his relationship to painting has evolved. She was initially looking for a raw result anchored in the “matter". Today, his works are close to collage through the creation of shapes and games of glaze or opacity between warm or cold colors that make the eye vibrate.
