Biography

Benjamin Georgeaud is a French sculptor born in 1980. He discovered sculpture on his first trip to Florence at the age of 15. After graduating from high school, he devoted himself fully to his art. Benjamin Georgeaud's artistic training is a unique patchwork of experiences. He attended the workshops of Zoltan Zsako and took modeling and drawing classes at the Beaux-Arts evening classes of the Paris town hall. This hybrid training testifies to his determination and commitment to mastering his art.

In 2002, he exhibited his work for the first time to the general public at the Salon des Artistes du XVe arrondissement de Paris, where he was awarded the Prix Spécial du Jury. Since then, Benjamin Georgeaud has set up his own studio in Paris and has been based in Montreuil since 2010.

He is renowned for his portraits, bas-reliefs and sculptures on the theme of the circus. His works, often highly evocative, convey a blend of strength and elegance. In 2009, he was awarded the "Géant des Beaux-Arts" prize for his bronze sculpture entitled "La douleur de Nausicaa" at the Salon d'automne in Paris. In 2012, he was awarded the Bronze Medal of the Société des Artistes Français at the Grand Palais. Benjamin Georgeaud is also the official creator of the trophy for the Festival International de Cirque de Viège in Switzerland.
