Patricia Proust-Labeyrie

A visual artist, she lives in Gironde and exhibits her work in France and abroad, particularly in Europe and the United States.

For many years now, she has been fostering links between art and science, joining CIRET (Centre International de Recherches et d'Études Transdisciplinaires) and the PSA Group (Plasticité Science Art) in 1998.

At the same time, she teaches a number of visual arts courses. She is also the founder of Éditions La Sève Bleue, which specialises in object books.

Her life experience, her working method and her experience of the visual arts in the field are considered to be strategic materials in her artistic approach. The perceptive-cognitive experience that triggers the creative process is understood here as a driving force rather than an end in itself.

For her, creation does not pre-exist research, but it is the research process that enables creation to take place.
