Biography

At 8 years old, my spiritual quest is already very significant, and I meet for the first time the Asian culture and its fervor. Later, I studied living models and engraving at the Beaux-Arts in Versailles, and the history of art at the Ecole du Louvre. I start to paint my nudes in India ink, and observe in the arabesques that I trace an infinity of landscapes. A real click then occurs in me, a revelation, I feel that I have just come into contact with an entire area, but yet until then unknown to me, to my personality ... Concomitantly a lively and sudden passion for it. Japan and its culture grows in me. In 2001 I went for the first time to the land of the rising sun, I “rediscovered” ancient Japan in Kyoto, but I “found” especially Nara, “my” Japanese city… There, everything for me is what recognition, reminiscence ... As soon as I returned, I began to produce more and more personal work, exploring for myself the various techniques offered by India ink. My research leads me logically to use mulberry paper, a medium suited to the constraints of washing.
