Walter Melocco
Biography
Walter Melocco is an architect trained at the Normandy School of Architecture in Rouen, and a lifelong painter. Coming from an old Venetian family, as a child he spent all school holidays near Venice, with his grandparents. The taste for painting was already born, alongside his grandmother who took him to admire the works of Giotto or Veronese every year. Back in France, as soon as school was over, he took his brushes, and his parents kept his paintings from the time, which left no doubt that this love of art would never leave him. A lover of Picasso, or more contemporary artists like Bacon or David Hockney, he painted for years in an abstract style, returning more recently to the figurative.
