Originally from Toulouse, Alice Sauvage has always had a passion for mosaic. From the age of 20, she expressed her creativity by creating her own designs on furniture. Her professional career in marketing took her to London and it was during confinement in 2020 that she reconnected with her passion and devoted more time to it. Determined to explore this art, she joined the London School of Mosaic in September 2021.

Under the guidance of Catherine Parkinson, a renowned mosaicist, Alice refines her practice and discovers new techniques. She is notably participating in the "London Bridge Mosaic" project, a monumental 57 meter wall created for Transport for London and Network Rail. This enriching experience allows him to put his skills at the service of a large-scale collective creation.

In July 2023, Alice moved to Lyon and became a resident at the Alcôve gallery-workshops, located in the slopes of Croix Rousse district. It is in this inspiring new environment that she continues her artistic exploration and brings her own unique mosaics to life.

Far from bathrooms and kitchen splashbacks, it invites mosaic to take its place in a new universe.

His style, called "POP MOSAIC" is inspired by modern art, street art and pop culture. Inspired by artists such as Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, Edouardo Paolozzi, Bordalo ii, she weaves mosaics where collages, patterns, textures and bright colors meet. Its raw material? Unearthed treasures: scrap tiles, objects doomed to oblivion, natural finds... Each element tells a story and is integrated into the work to give it a unique soul. It explores various themes, such as respect for the living, identity and diversity.
