Joe Köstlinger

Born in 1978 in Ried im Innkreis, Austria, as a self-taught artist, I have pursued a passion for art since my childhood. A visit to the Kubinhaus and contact with Alfred Kubin's works influenced me early on; a work of his interpreted in my own way led to my first sale. From 1997 onwards I experimented with acrylic paints, where before there were only pencils and charcoal it now became really colorful. I had successful openings and exhibitions, took a break for a few years, and later found my way back to writing and illustrating children's books. 2022 was creatively intense and I was back in the world of art: participation in international exhibitions in Milan and Barcelona, ​​​​awarded the 1st International Donatella Prize in Florence.
