Biography
Marie Taklanti lives and works in Yvelines / France.
Graduated from ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres, MA and DEA in Fine Arts from Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University, she collaborated for fifteen years with numerous editions as author and illustrator of books for youth (Bordas, Bayard Press, School of Recreation).
Currently a painter and designer, she is an essential part of her drawing work. At the heart of his practice is an interest in the calligraphy of drawing. This writing of gesture, his dismay, his loneliness, moreover to the loan.
The moving body is its hunting ground, not only as a subject but as a language. This complete chart of lines or graphics indicates what you need to be against the inevitable weights, they are seldom solitary, they are falling, wringing, hugging, hugging each other not knowing where they are going, who they are.
She imagines these lost souls in weightlessness at the limit of wavering, in a continual movement, ascensional or vertical, between hope and doubt.
She imagines these men in suspense, lost in a cruel feeling of abandonment, aspired by a common direction as an attraction and speaks of our terrible loneliness.
On the surface of large pages of paper, of the community of men, in the state of emergence, of elevation, of struggle, of struggling, of being carried away by the breath of their history, in order to escape the real and temporary space of our life, intoxicated with the movement, in search of an elsewhere that probably does not exist.
