Hélene Maris
Biography
Holder of a DEA in Arts and Current Societies awarded by Bordeaux Montaigne University in 2004, my career is marked by fundamental research in visual arts. My practice serves as a transversal reflection on representations, their codes and their context of appearance. Stimulated by philosophical questions and societal issues, I focused my research on the theme of death and memory. During this period, I taught working methodology in visual arts to undergraduate students. I also participated in two inter-doctoral communications within the IMAGINES plastic arts research laboratory which were published in 2005. In 2010, I decided to go to Nice to follow a Master 2 in cultural engineering. My research on scientific and traveling exhibitions allowed me to work for the prehistory museums of Nice and Monaco. I also work occasionally in schools for which I develop projects to raise awareness of the visual arts for young audiences.
