Biography
Jacques Migayrou was born in Béziers, France, and studied at the Beaux-Arts in Rennes to become a visual arts teacher. He worked as a teacher in the South of France, in the Paris region and in Lyon, where he lives and works today.
During all these years he painted in parallel, but he did not make his works public. He has also performed as a musician and actor, and the experience had a great influence on his painting. The violence and strong contrasts in his paintings make us think of stage lights, and Jacques Migayrou's sensitivity imposes an alphabet meant to induce emotions in the viewers.
In 2005, Françoise Besson discovers Jacques Migayrou's painting and organizes his first exhibit in Lyon.
