Laurent Chimento is a professional painter born in 1974 in Manosque, in the Alpes de Haute Provence - A short introductory painting course in Vaucluse introduced him to this universe that he was enthusiastic about exploring - He was then 17 years - Self-taught, he studies bodies, volumes, draws with charcoal, contemplates the works of the great masters of painting - He sketches to improve his line, experiments with multiple techniques, gouache, watercolor, acrylic, oil etc.;

The artist's pictorial universe seizes us when beyond the colors, he plays with lines, curves, depths, bringing an original relief to the work as if he was seeking to solve a mystery or to stop time - It is above all pictoriality that obsesses him "It is not the object that counts, it is its pictoriality, because it is the expression of what lives in ourselves"
