Aurélie Buridans

Inspired by nature, if my work is very poetic, it is also deeply anchored in reality, everyday life and its time.

It addresses the paradoxes we experience as humans in our current relationship with nature. I question our perception of the ephemeral, of the memory, of the lack, of the absence, of the trace.

I create polymorphous works, all derived from collage. Photographic assemblages, installations, poetic videos, all mediums allow me to develop my approach.

Concerned about environmental problems, I am part of the artistic movement which advocates sustainable art and the most virtuous and respectful use of materials and techniques possible.

Born in Montpellier, after having produced and worked in Paris for 20 years, I now create in Montpellier.

My workshop is located in the Ateliers Tropisme, an artistic oasis in which 60 artists from the Occitanie region collaborate.
