Biography
Serge Kantorowicz is born in Paris in 1942, all his family is from Poland. He studied drawing and printmaking at the Saint-Etienne High School of Graphic Arts, then as a free student at the Brussels School of Fine Arts from 1962. In the late sixties, he became an engraver for Maeght then for himself in the workshop he shares with his cousin, the painter Sam Szafran. This is how he works for Riopelle, Joan Mitchell, Henri Michaux, Miro, Calder, Giacometti or Vasarely.
Serge Kantorowicz has devoted himself entirely to his art since 1973. He is himself a master of prints in all its forms: wood engraving and copper, lithography, screen printing, etc.
