Biography
Frédéric Menguy was born in Paris on January 28, 1927. He is one of the greatest French artists today. His works, recognizable at first glance, have enchanted and amazed us for many years. Frédéric Menguy, the creator of a magical and poetic circus where musical clowns charm the flying and playful horses, takes us into a wonderful world of dreams and childhood. “I paint what I would like to see and not what I see,” he says. With the bright and warm nuances of which he has the secret, Frédéric Menguy leads us in his wake, in pursuit of a world very far from our daily lives where beauty and poetry preside over the destinies of those, men or animals, who inhabit the artist's dreams.
