Statement - CORTEN steel sculpture
Corner bodies are the basis of the vocabulary of my sculptural formal language. More recent sculptures are also based on wedge shapes that stretch out as if in a long linear form, then wrap around, entwine and twist. The steel sculptures were developed in a 3D digital process and are then transformed into flat, cut, rounded and twisted elements before being welded and ground together. Some seem filigree and light, others tightly coiled and compact. Games of light and shadow on edges and surfaces, reinforcing the dynamics of shapes and their spatial appearance.
With a continuous taper of the trapezoidal section, the designed bodies are rounded and twisted in different directions at the same time. It is a particularity of my work and a unique selling point. With the continued development of artistic techniques in recent years, the sculptures have also been able to increase in size over time, making them well suited for display in the park.
