Biography
Dominique Poilpré is a French photographer born in 1949 in la Sarthe. He started his career in the world of fashion and then turned to advertising and created his own agency in 1981. In parallel, he also did photographs of art in black and white, in the same style than Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau.
He tries to capture moments of life, giving his images this timelessness that transforms fugitive time in eternity. Today, his search for moments that reveal humanity in all its authenticity lead the artist to travel the world. Particularly, Asia, which is a main source of inspiration for the artist.
