Francisco de Pajaro, known as Art is Trash, is a street artist who was born in 1970. Originally hailing from Barcelona, his works have appeared on the streets of cities across the world, in London, Berlin, Nantes, Barcelona, ??New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and even Bogotá.
With his ephemeral works or murals, Art is Trash creates urban, spontaneous and committed art, where the backdrop is a take on consumerism. With his spiritual, almost shamanistic relationship to his materials, he repurposes rubbish from the street and transforms it into sculptures that are as disconcerting as they are moving. This is the kind of spontaneity one finds when an artist decides to move from the streets to canvasses. He explores other themes through this such as violence. With their faux naivety, his canvasses and drawings are aimed at and appeal to all, just the same as when his work is on the street.
An artist of international renown, Art is Trash has been exhibited in many galleries across Barcelona, London and Dubai.
