Lorenzo Vitturi is a photographer and sculptor based in London. A former film set painter, Vitturi has integrated this experience into his photographic practice, which revolves around site-specific interventions at the intersection of photography, sculpture and performance. In Vitturi's process, photography is conceived as a transformative space, where different disciplines merge to represent the complexities of changing urban environments.
Vitturi has had solo exhibitions at the FOAM Museum in Amsterdam, the Photographers' Gallery in London, the Contact Photography Festival in Toronto and the CNA in Luxembourg. Vitturi has also participated in group exhibitions at MaXXI in Rome, Center Georges Pompidou in Paris, La Triennale in Milan, Shanghai Art Museum and K11 Art Space in Shanghai, as well as at BOZAR in Brussels.
Following the presentation of Dalston Anatomy in 2013 in the form of a book, multi-layered installations and a performance, Vitturi's photo book "Money Must Be Made" was published by SPBH Editions in September 2017.
Alongside his personal work, Vitturi has also translated his photographic vision into playful and experimental commissions for clients such as Vogue Italia, Dazed & Confused, The New Yorker and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazine.
