Eugénie Faux was born in Noyen-sur-Sarthe on August 23, 1866, is a French painter and watercolorist. ... It is after her marriage with Vital Alexandre Froidure, on February 20, 1895, that she takes her definitive artist name Eugénie Faux-Froidure.
She died in Rueil-Malmaison on February 14, 1942.
She participated in the exhibitions of fine arts in Tours in 1891 and Le Mans in 1911 and 1923. Her work Roses in a Pewter Vase has been in the collections of the Centre Pompidou since 1909, after the acquisition of this painting by the French state in 19085. Many of Eugénie Faux-Froidure's works are now privately owned. Most of them are sold for around 400 euros. He appeared every year between 1886 and 1940 at the Salon des Artistes Français. Her works are now in the collections of the museums of Le Mans, Rouen, Aubusson and Antwerp.
