Presentation
Born in Paris in 1959, I was initiated from an early age by a father painter. If I took courses in plastic art to deepen my technique, it was by working alongside other artists, watching them work and experimenting that I really progressed.
In 1987, I joined the Atelier d'Art Textile Haute Couture in Paris. I develop my taste for textures effects, colors and geometric shapes
But creativity in this profession has its limits. So I choose to leave this profession to devote myself exclusively to painting.
The year 2010 is a pivotal date. I take confidence and find my style, my own writing. My paintings are more and more faithful to my emotions; contemplative faces or immersed in meditation, tender gestures, smiles, shared happiness; I paint what I see or perceive from the outside world.
I use the technique of sculptured painting. I project my acrylic colors on the white canvas. The shapes and colors mix with each other giving unlikely effects. Once the color is applied, I carve the motifs with a knife in the still fresh paint. This allows for custom texture and relief effects.
When I paint I don’t really have a direction; I never know in advance how it will evolve. I build my story as I go along, I let myself go.
I paint to beautify the world around me. I hope to share these emotions full of life and hope that are at the heart of all my paintings like a communicative smile.
