Born in 1960 in Coucy-le Château (Aisne) - lives and works in Saint Grégoire, near Rennes.
Christophe Crépin never lost his fascination for the landscape. He considers nature as a great friend with whom he will travel through life, his life... His training at the ROEDERER academy then at the CAMONDO school in Paris will structure his sensitivity to space. During this period, the artist is above all the interpreter of the urban landscape, in particular that of Saint-Nazaire and its industrial basin. He dares to paint the reflections, the beauties, the sweetness and the terrors of these industrial nights in a perpetual oscillation between spell and curse... Christophe Crépin's painting will then purify itself towards a graphic abstraction. His "mathematical poems" evoke, with great visual rigor, the duality between the poetic world of words and the poetic world of numbers... Today, water, light, trees, forests and heritage are his sources of work. The artist plunges back into search of the essential.
