Lucette Pillet is an Artist Ceramist born in 1945 in France. She started creating ceramics in 1978 and made research on the lost technics of "Cristallisation", since ceramists don't exchange or transmit their technical knowledge, it was lost forever. Although in 1888 Laugh et Vogt had worked on the subject, in Manufacture de Sèvres, France, it was forgotten.
Pillet found the way to create "cristallisations" within her ceramics. For her, "A work of art made of ceramics with "cristallisations" is like creating a painting, this is not always what we intended to create, but when we open the door of the oven it opens as well the door of imagination."
