Pilar Vega Hidalgo was born in Buenos Aires in 1993.

In 2017 she completed her degree in Visual Arts at REA (Regina Espacio de Arte) in San Isidro, BA with a specialization in painting. Since then she has been working on her artistic project in relation to the woman's body as a place where violence and oppression, but also resistance, are projected.

Pilar moves to Bariloche, where she currently resides, and continues her production by exhibiting her paintings, drawings, installations and performances in group exhibitions in the city.

In 2018 she participated in the "Policlínica de las Artes" work clinic coordinated by Aurelio García and Débora Alegret. She also attends Nadia Guthmann's sculpture workshop.

In 2019, her work was selected to participate in Neuquén Contemporáneo 4th biennial "Puentes", at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Neuquén curated by Kekena Corvalán.

In 2021, she attended the UNRN extension workshop "Art, Gender and Territory" taught by Kekena Corvalán.

In 2022 it participates in the exhibition for the 8M Prize at the CCK, in Buenos Aires. During the same year she participated in Flavia Da Rin's work clinic.

In 2024 she exhibits her work at Chiasso Perduto after an art residency in Florence, Italy, and she started to collaborate with the Tobian Art Gallery in the same city.

She is a teacher of Visual Arts and curator of exhibitions at the Inefable cultural space in Argentina.
