Presentation

Thierry Chauvelot, self-taught artist from Marseille since 2012, discovered his passion for painting during an internship with Joëlle Thibault. It stands out for its exhibitions on wild animals, PopArt portraits and its recent works inspired by Marseille, notably the Good Mother. A stay in New York, where he exhibited at the Grégory Hotel, inspired him to merge the worlds of New York and Marseille in his paintings on migratory flows. Chauvelot paints directly on canvas without sketching, favoring spontaneity. His colorful knife compositions invite artistic and spiritual exploration. Recognized today, his portraits of Raimu and Ferré are exhibited respectively at the Raimu Museum in Marignane and at the Toursky Theater in Marseille. His art, praised for its liveliness and energy, offers a dynamic and positive visual experience.
