Maurizio Zappon is a painter born June 1, 1962 in Italy.
Volcanologist by profession, he has a particular predilection for everything related to volcanoes. He collects stones that he draws at first with a pencil and then with watercolors. He paints them as well, extinct, dormant or erupting. His artistic universe extends to animals, especially the tarantula and the camel, which he particularly likes.
In 2016, he exhibited his work at the M&M Gallery in Geneva, Italy as well as at the Polysémie Gallery in Marseille, France.
