Thierry Rasine

Enthusiastic, very creative and encouraged by his great passion for art, Thierry Rasine is a self-taught painter who became part of the world of art where it is not easy to win. With time, the need to express himself developed.

Thierry finds inspiration in poetry, the city and icons. Touched by the billboards on the streets. The artist carves in the chosen excerpts which serve as a base for his work. He creates his designs without stencil using acrylics, aerosol bombs and soft pencil.

Deconstruction, reconstruction and the assembly of graphic and colored compositions are the different phases of his creative process. The artist enriches his supports with random traces of paint according to his mood.

Since his beginnings, Thierry tends towards a style halfway between Pop Art and Street Art. These are the techniques used by his favorite painters which serve him as triggers for his artistic expression: The line of Bernard Buffet (expressionist), the "dripping" - the drips of paint of Jackson Pollock (abstract expressionist), the posters of Mimmo Rotella (Italian artist) or the graffiti of Jean-Michel Basquiat ("underground"painter).
