Presentation
Steve Drevet, born in 1974, is a self-taught photographer, reporter and literature professor. He lives and works in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
His eye as a photographer was forged during his travels around the world and then in the studio, where he began by photographing archaeological objects for museums, in collaboration with the artist Claude Parent-Saura. Together, they produced the series “Island of Shamans" which will be presented at the Visa pour l'image festival.
The year 2016 saw the birth of “L'instant indécis", in collaboration with his artist friend Romaric Mandelblat. The images created in the studio, in the style of painters and without special effects, resemble hyperrealistic paintings. The idea is simple: to provoke hesitation in the spectator. This project, which arouses the enthusiasm and curiosity of a large public, has been recognized by numerous private and museum exhibitions.
