Biography
Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, he studied Photography and Videography in Belgium and a master's degree at the UAB.
The issues he has been interested in have always turned around people and their environments. He has worked mainly with analog black and white photography.
As a photographer, his work has focused on the photographic portrait. Chance and the way of life lead him to the different characters he wanted to photograph. The choice is the product of volition and a changing environment.
Each photograph has its own particularity, which is reflected in its photographic treatment and where the title alludes to it.
The government of Generalitat de Catalunya acquired his work through the National Photography Plan of the MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya).
In recent years, Martí Sala has held several exhibitions: individual ones at Dalmau Galleries, Olivart Art Gallery,
Contrast, Espai 8, 4art Montfalcon and Tartessos.
He has also participated in group exhibitions at the Art Center Santa Monica, Photo Gallery, Arcs Room, among others. His work has been exhibited at various trade fairs and selected for two editions of the biennial Primavera Fotogràfica de Barcelona.
