Graphic designer, artistic director, designer, illustrator, painter, digital artist, communicator, Laurent Notte is a "modern artist" who combines a classic sensibility with a start-up spirit.
It sometimes turns out to be difficult to find your way, Laurent Notte has never really hesitated. "Already in kindergarten, I wanted to be a designer; in CM2, the lines of flight and the treatment of my drawings amazed my teachers," he smiles. The choice to train in graphic design professions will only be a formality, and the ambition to quickly stand on its own feet too.
At just 25 years old, he declared himself a self-entrepreneur, then joined forces to create a communication agency; the experiment will not be conclusive. He will prefer to resume his journey, solo, and move forward on his projects; they are numerous. Like its design brand Notte art & home, protected at the INPI, in which works of art and digital art come together: a light (still in prototype), a sculpture, the Longwood, with refined and elliptical lines, and its series of Parisiennes printed on canvas. "My favorite? The Parisienne in Deauville, I wanted it in a bourgeois bohemian style and it is the only one whose gaze you can see behind your sunglasses, with its share of mystery which I like a lot", emphasizes -he.
His project ? Gather their creations to build their online sales store; “The site and the brand exist, but I don't have enough time to develop other objects. I don't want to do things by halves, so for now it's dormant, "he continues. When we ask Laurent about his inspirations, he evokes Fibonacci curve, golden ratio, Leonardo da Vinci, Warhol and computers - graphics tablet, Illustrator, Indesign ...
Finally, the artist draws as much from the avant-garde as from classicism. With sincerity, he roams in a universe which mixes the desire for success and artistic practice. Laurent Notte is a jack of all trades; a gifted even, "who does not want to restrict himself, but to follow his dreams to the end." Modern, curious, erudite, inventor; his fervor for Italian Renaissance painting was doubtless not the result of chance.
