Born in 1968, Anne Maillet graduated from the Paris-Belleville School of Architecture. From a very young age, she became interested in the Visual Arts and attended the Buttes Chaumont studio in the 19th arrondissement where she acquired training in drawing, painting and art history. She has exhibited fairly regularly since 1995 in public places (Bock de Bohème, bar gallery, Paris 14 °), on the occasion of exhibitions (Salon des jeunes artistes, Paris 10 ° - Zénith de Toulon, association of art agitators. 83), and in galleries (Galerie ephémère Daragnes-Meier, Paris 11 °).
What if the blue of the sky had tinted trees and foliage? If Anne Maillet's painting represents paintings of trees, their foliage in canvases or the framing and the angle of view are of great importance, it is also a tribute to the color blue, to its variants, to its originality. : “I love its infinity, its immateriality (…) the freedom it evokes, the spatial immensity. »Thus, the artist creates landscapes where the trees make links with the sky, where the foliage becomes patterns that she repeats, giving the impression of a movement, the breath of the wind, to the viewer.
“My painting describes a precise moment (…). It happens that an image is between 2 movements, the painting becomes blurred, the forms are duplicated and reveal transparencies ". Anne Maillet indeed works by superimposing colored touches in acrylic, also returning in places to oil pastel which gives the canvas an aspect of abundance and great varieties of shades, always in the dominant blue. The background takes on as much importance as the patterns, both linked in a vegetal and colorful discussion that is no longer limited to the outlines.
