Dorit Levi was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1952, her Yemenite upbringing and culture playing an important role in her art. Her talent enabled her to study at the prestigious Wizco France Art School in her native city, where she had the great fortune to learn from one of Israel's greatest artists, Edwin Salomon.
