Hervé Nys was born in 1960 in Cagnes-sur-Mer. He studied agricultural mechanics, later on, he engaged in naval aviation as an aircraft mechanic: He gets his knowledge about mechanics from Massey Ferguson and Super-Etandard. Afterwards, he started working with leather goods where he created designs and templates for printing on different materials, which he introduced to the world of fashion and creation.
To improve his technique, he became a chiseller in a lost wax Art foundry. During 10 years, he practiced and became a master of bronze (molding, carving, patina) he worked with several sculptors. He continued his career by becoming the assistant of Sacha Sosno, an internationally renowned artist. The fusion of this mastered technique and mechanics gave birth to a series of innovative sculptures in contemporary art.
