Biography
Mitsouko Mori is a Japanese artist, born in Ashikaga.
She studied at the National University of Music and the Fine arts school in Tokyo, she graduated in 1968. She then moved to France and joined the Architecture School in Marseille, followed by the Beaux Arts in Paris. She traveled for a while, before moving to Paris for good.
She is very inspired by the Bauhaus school in Germany, therefore her painting is very geometric.
Mitsouko Mori is devoted to abstract art, and this is what made her leave Japan as it honors figurative art much more. The artist uses primary colors, without any tone shades, in order to highlight geometric forms which she assembles and mixes.
The artist began working with new material recently, neon to be exact as it illuminates her work.
Mitsouko Mori always sketches her creation, before any sort of elaboration.
She regularly exhibits in Europe and Japan.
