Biography
Camille Adra is a French artist born in 1990, currenty living in Montpellier in the South of France.
He studied architecture and graduated from the National Superior School of Architecture of Montpellier in 2016, but his personal artistic production developed in an almost self taught learning of drawing.
From his childhood, drawing played a main role in the life of Camille Adra and his first characters appeared very soon. His artistic research was then influenced by artists from her region such as Albert Dubout, Robert Combas and Hervé Di Rosa for their free figuration as well as the work of Keith Haring who had a certain impact in the evolution of his work.
Even if in the beginning he worked a lot on paper, he now works on different supports, from canvases to outdoor walls on the streets. Using aerosol bombs, acrylic paint and markers at the same time, the dynamic compositions of Camille Adra are done with lines and personages that intertwine, depicting an imaginary world where abstraction and figuration intermingle and where the spontaniety of the line is the only watchword.
His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in France and abroad including in Beirut, Lebanon in 2016 and in Almaty, Kazakhtan in 2015 for the Urban Dawn Volume I and II exhibitions, in Moscow, 2016 and several times in Paris and Montpellier.
