Biography

Gabriel Froget, born in 2003 in Aurillac in France, has lived in Paris since 2009, where he has studied painting and drawing since 2019.

A student of Professor Christian Mangin, he learned academic drawing with him and was introduced to painting; he has since worked full-time in his workshop.

Self-taught in the technical research of his paintings, he defines himself as a student of the work of the masters of academicism (Jean Léon Jérôme, Thomas Couture), symbolism (Gustave Moreau), baroque (Caravaggio, Roberto Ferri) of the Hudson River School (Albert Bierstadt; Thomas Cole, Frederic Edwin Church) or even romanticism (Caspar David Friedrich).

He has participated in various exhibitions with recognized French and international artists.
