Born in 1971, Eddy Josse is a self-taught artist.
In the early 2000s, he began creating oil paintings on large-format canvases, focusing mainly on portraits and scenes illustrating the lives of Breton farmers and sailors.
For the last 2 years he has been exploring ink and watercolour on paper. His subjects have broadened to include rural and urban landscapes. His figurative style is characterised by thoughtful composition and framing, rather than delving into detail he prefers to suggest and invites viewers to give free rein to their imagination.
He is currently working on smaller formats, still framed, for a more intimate visual experience.
