Marie Geoffroy

Marie Geffroy, born in 1970 in Savoie, is a painter who began her career after studying communications and at the Beaux-Arts in Besançon. Passionate about travel and observation, she currently lives by the sea, where the light of the South has influenced her work for eight years. Member of Artivores en Seine-et-Marne, she runs workshops and exhibits regularly, having won the public prize at the Clap'Arts Festival in Montpellier in 2023. Preferring oil pastels for their texture and intensity, she creates works that invite a frank and peaceful interpretation of the world, often without direct human presence. She also uses watercolor, colored pencils and acrylic for larger formats, thus enriching her artistic expression.
