Tani Telas
Biography
Born on December 05, 1974 in ORAN. Stéphanie NAVARRO comes from a Spanish family.
She grew up in the middle of the boats, with the Mediterranean as her only anchor.
Stéphanie found herself in 1985 in Toulon where her parents settled. She already has, from the height of her ten years, passions for writing, drawing and music.
At college Stéphanie spends her free time reproducing fashion models on paper, with brush and Indian ink. Faced with a plastic art assignment on the theme of Gustav Klimt, and lacking paint to accomplish her work, she escapes conventions and empties the make-up drawer of the women in her family. The blushers, eyeshadows, foundations, lipsticks, nail polishes and other vagabonds from the magic drawer, materials that later will allow him to create works with warm hues creating atmospheres close to the earth and human.
In parallel with her professional career, Stéphanie developed her passion for theatre, audiovisual and writing; she directs the association La Météorite with which she writes and directs.
In 2010, travels and meetings at the other end of the world brought her to tears. Talking about people, their lives, their struggles, their hearts, in the end, that's living. The image of bereaved women makes her take up Indian ink again and pay homage to the Warriors of the present time.
Today, her creations evolve to the rhythm of the values she defends, season after season, colorfully.
Based in southern Corsica, she signs her works Tani Telas.
