Born into a family of craftsmen, it is in the family workshops that I nurtured my artistic creativity.
For several years, I worked for Luxury Houses, creating epoxy resin colors for them, which I myself would put on the pieces that will serve as jewelry, accessories, buckles for bags or shoes, buttons. ..
I am becoming a color specialist, maybe even THE color specialist. But this world unfortunately created a lot of waste.
We are in 1986 and a question becomes more and more stubborn in my eyes: what to do with all this waste, unused resin remains? The idea comes to me that it is no longer possible to throw them away. They have to be recovered and given a second life: I decide to place them in successive layers in the pockets that contained the parts brought by the luxury houses.
The idea of recycling takes shape in my mind and I created the concept of Residual Art, a form of poetic recycling.
Later, these abstract forms will become colorful sculptures, recycling waste to make it beautiful, providing well-being to those who look at them and illustrating the poetry that permeates my work. It was in October 2005 that the idea for the sculptures came about. Arman, the famous French sculptor dies that month. And in the night, I say to myself "But that's it, I have to incorporate these blocks in another transparent resin!".
After a lot of research aimed at positioning this residual material in levitation in a crystalline and transparent block, my choice stops on the acrylic resin which to this day, I still master perfectly to do what I want with it. This resin becomes a full component of my work and my artistic approach.
