Amalya Nané Tumanian was born in Yerevan, Armenia where she was a visual arts teacher at the School of Fine Arts and also an elected member of the former Soviet Art Union. Some of his works are exhibited in museums as well as in public places in Armenia and Russia, having been purchased by the Russian and Armenian governments. Its success extends internationally. Indeed his works were the subject of tours during a collective exhibition in Hungary, Spain and Germany. It is also exhibited in the United States and in France.
Always passionate about painting, this artist paints every day, like a musician would do his scales. It is through practice that inspiration comes to him. Painting is her means of expression, it is the place where she finds her freedom and where she feels alive. She defines her art as an abstract figurative expressionist style, which each time tells a story using several types of pure or mixed media depending on the emotion she wants to convey. Amalya Nané Tumanian loves life and wants to share the beautiful moments that life offers her through her works with her gaze of this beauty.
She uses models and sets as a foundation, improvising from original studies incorporating organic and non-organic, expressive and colorful forms, which, harmonized in a balanced composition, express her emotions, her artistic aesthetic and her philosophy.
The exhibition presented at the Sonia Monti gallery presents a new development through a style combining the figurative and the abstract.
